The Lowell Area Trailway has secured funding to connect the Fred Meijer Flat River Valley Rail Trail with the Fred Meijer Grand River Valley Rail Trail. This is the final link to be completed in a trail network spanning over 125 miles. A best case scenario would see this connection completed in 2025. You can check out the tentative route HERE.
